David Alley is an extraordinary human being, and CS91 are proud to have supported him on his mission around Australia.

The Marathon man ran 13,383 kilometres around the country – accomplishing the equivalent of two marathons every day – to complete the journey in a record 169 days, 15 hours and 31 minutes.

CS91 supported Alley by providing him with all his running gear and his support team wear, and were there to welcome him home to Lismore on Sunday 11th October at approximately 3pm.

The 39-year-old father of four completed the trek in aid of the White Cloud Foundation, which helps Australia’s fight depression.

In a recent video interview with Sunrise, which was filmed just before his homecoming, he said: “The body is actually feeling quite good, although I’ve certainly had my ups and downs throughout this trip. I’m really looking forward to heading home now.

“It [depression] really is an epidemic at the moment across the country. A million Australians each and every year are diagnosed with depression and anxiety and that’s just the people we know about. So I think you could safely double that figure.

“I think it’s time as a nation we got together and did something about it. This is just my small bit and contribution to not only raise funds and awareness for the White Cloud Foundation, but spread the word and let people know that it’s OK to get out there and talk about your difficulties.”
